Post subject:  C-32 Front cooling fan that rotates for easy collimation

Hello all. I designed a cooling/boundary layer fan setup that rotates out of the way for easy collimation. I designed the fan mounting for my C-32 to allow collimation without having to remove the whole assembly. The fan is mounted on a 5.5 inch ring/baffle made out of delrin plastic. The ring has a 90 mm center hole in it that is appropriate for mounting a 92mm fan. The delrin ring is held in place with . 032" stainless steel tension wires which also provide current for the fan. The fan can be easily rotated out of the way for quick collimation, it does not have to be removed. I included a picture of the fan rotated out of the way for collimation. Fan is interchangeable with a lower output model via RCA plug. Since the fan is mounted over the center of the mirror, the airlow is much more even from the center out in all directions as opposed to crossing boundary layer fans mounted on the inside perimeter of the mirror box. Quite a few people thought it was pretty cool over on the cloudy nights site and I figured it would be useful to post pics here as well.
