EDIT: I realize now I should have put this into the Telescope Making Category. If you can tell me on how to move it there that would be great. Thanks!
I was always intrigued by the design of the Ultra-Compact style telescopes that Obsession Telescopes is selling. From the stand point of the mirror cell, it has always looked structurally sufficient for larger size mirrors. That being said, I would like to see if there are any other design ideas out there that could be used for sub-15 inch telescopes (I just say that because that is the smallest obsession makes) for the fellow minimalist out there. The minimalist mirror cell design picture below could be an example of what it would look like. The mirror is 12.5 inches with width varying depending on how many triangles of support you would have. This cell is designed for an 18-point cell (yes, I know it's a lot, but if the mirror is thin I wouldn't want to take chances).

My take on a minimalist mirror cell design, tell me what you think!
I designed this cell using a (free!) online CAD program called OnShape.
So please feel free to say what you think about its structural integrity and design in general. I enjoy criticism and feedback!
