Here is the difference in size between the UTA (Upper Tube Assembly) of an 18" and a 32" telescope:

Showed these photos to the family, and they are almost as thrilled about this as I am as the delivery time gets closer.

Here is a pic of the assembled cell. Note how open to airflow the design is :

We got one of the parts in we had been waiting for from one of our suppliers, so one of the C32s in the new batch is done.

Looks like the rocker departs from the curvature of the side bearings in the front a little sooner than some other designs. The notches in the front of the rocker box no doubt are for truss clearance, a necessity resulting from the lowest profile rocker I've ever seen and at the same time lowing the focuser, very nice.

Hi Jim,
What a great, solid looking scope! Is that a connecting ring on top of the trusses? What size of secondary is being used 6.25-6.50?

Thank you Joe!
Yes, that connecting ring lets you set the scope up without carrying the UTA up a ladder.
We finally decided on a 6" secondary. A 5.75" would be just a little too small for my tastes.
