Hi

Just been looking at some of your marvelous scopes on the website. Can you tell me what the current wait time is for one of the C series scopes and what payment options (for the scopes) are available - Paypal, credit card?

Thanks

Wait times depend on the size of the scope. The D series wait times are soon to be down to 6 months (in fact we should have some D14s in stock at the end of next month).

The C series wait times will soon be down to a year. Steve Kennedy has been making much progress through his backlog lately. We have a C24 in stock currently and will have a C28 in stock in the next few months.

We have been trying a new system where we make one extra scope in each size so that there can be a few "instant gratification" choices at any one time. If this keeps working well, we may make two extra of each scope in the most popular sizes.

Credit cards and PayPal take a 3% fee of every sale. That is fine in retail stores that have a 40% markup on most items. That does not work so well with the razor thin margins we telescope builders have to work with. On a C32, the credit card fee would be $900! A personal check works just fine for us.

If you need to finance your telescope, take a look at the "Lease to Own" options at Crest Capital, and see if their rates are better than what your credit card or bank offers:

Thank you
